

It was made with water we drew from our natural source, grains we grew and harvested in our East Field, yeast native to our West Field, and hops from a small farm a few miles from us. The result is a delicate, floral impression on the nose with what we can only describe as a “Wheatland” malt expression for its backbone. We’re happy with how the Alsatian hops gracefully integrate with the malt’s delicate profile. Once ready, the barley we grew was gently custom-malted in small batch to retain as much of the field’s character as possible. The Estate line of beer is the first built upon 100% of the grain being farmed, fermented, conditioned, and packaged at Wheatland Spring. Over the last years of operation, we’ve used estate grain and other ingredients we grow in many offerings. You can see the grain fields from the brew deck. What’s Estate grain? It’s grain we plant on the land we tend, here on the farm. Our third season of Estate grain was planted in the fall of 2020 and harvested in the summer of 2021.
